When Jerry came downstairs Friday morning, I had been up since 4:30. He asked if I couldn't sleep and I said I slept well but was done early. It gave me an excellent opportunity to catch a summer sunrise. I tend to whine about not being able to see the sun rise or set from where I live...well I think I've gained a new perspective.
As daybreak introduced the sunrise, I began to realize something... it's not the sun itself that is wondrous, but how it illuminates whatever it shines on...trees, buildings, oceans whatever. It was dim and dusky just moments before and it quickly turned warm, sunny and bright. Could it correlate with what Our Lady said... "My Soul Magnifies the Lord"?
I have lived in this house for 38 years and this is the first time I have been in this room to witness a sunrise...maybe I'll set my alarm for tomorrow morning.
